WP6: New Production Streams- Biorefinery Optimization

Biorefinery separation includes processes for cost efficient product separation/recovery of 2nd generation fuels and chemical building blocks such as butanol, butyric acid and ethanol from aqueous phases. Sustainable low-energy conversion technologies are vital for creating value from agricultural, forestry, marine and agroindustrial residue/waste biomasses. Customers include bio-refinery businesses such as biofuel and biochemical producers.
