Aquaporin VP Receives Industry Award

The Academy today announced that the 2013 award goes to Aquaporin's Vice President, Research Claus Hélix-Nielsen, for his visionary contribution to establishing knowledge-based companies in Denmark to the inspiration of others.

The Danish Academy of Natural Sciences each year rewards a researcher from academia or industry with the Academy’s Industry Award. Candidates will all have made a special effort to promote the collaboration between one or more Danish companies and a Danish University.

The Academy today announced that the 2013 award goes to Aquaporin's Vice President, Research Claus Hélix-Nielsen, for his visionary contribution to establishing knowledge-based companies in Denmark to the inspiration of others.

Says Claus Hélix-Nielsen, - I am not only pleased but honored to accept this award. This recognition has reinforced my belief that collaborations between academia and the industry will be shaping the future technology successes of Denmark. This truly inspires me to continue striving for excellence in such a crucial field as the science of biomimetics.

The prize will be officially presented at the annual Academy meeting on December 6.
